W. Brett Wilson’s Garden Party 2015
Every year W. Brett Wilson chooses a different cause to celebrate – in terms of raising awareness and funds – via the Garden Party. The focus this year was Adolescent Mental Health and over $400,000 was raised.
As always, 100% of these funds will directly benefit four worthwhile charities who are working hard to end the stigma and deal with the root causes of Mental Health challenges: Canadian Mental Health Association, Juno Foundation, Calgary Counselling Centre and Wood’s Homes.
A special thanks to Cowtown Opera, Jocelyn Alice, Don Amero, Corb Lund and Brett Kissel – the artists who collectively made the evening memorable. And a very special thank you to Paige Power for sharing her experiences and challenges in the world of Mental Health.

On December 2, 2013, WestJet held an event in their hangar in Calgary to unveil WestJet’s newest aircraft livery: the Magic Plane. WestJet invited WestJetters, the Disney team, and members of the media to help celebrate. Even Mickey Mouse was there to help reveal the Magic Plane to the world.
MakeFashion - Fashion & Tech Gala

The MakeFashion initiative is a collaboration of great minds who want to demonstrate that the convergence of Technology and Art can result in a form, fashion and community brand new to Calgary. Creativity and innovation are the guiding principles to unit fashion, jewelry and accessories designers with software and hardware engineers. Along with technology enthusiasts, creatives and those that just simply like to engage in cultural experiments – all are invited to participate in the MakeFashion event series.
